Jeff M. Imerman majored in Political Science and Economics at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999. He received his law degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, in 2002 and was admitted to practice in California that same year. After law school, Mr. Imerman clerked for Judge David P. Yaffe in Department 86 (Writs & Receiver’s) of the Los Angeles Superior Court for two years. During his clerkship, Mr. Imerman prepared bench memoranda summarizing the material facts in each case, analyzed the parties legal and factual contentions, and prepared proposed tentative rulings.
While at Loyola Law School, Mr. Imerman was on the Dean’s List from 1999-2002, received a Continuing Academic Honor’s Scholarship from 2000-2002, and was a member and Vice-President of Seminars of the St. Thomas More Law Honor Society. He also served as the Academic Chair of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International. He graduated in the top 11% of his law school class.
Mr. Imerman was recognized as a contributor to the February 2004 Los Angeles Lawyer Article titled “Marital Duty.”
Mr. Imerman is currently a member of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of California and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
